Services
Digital literacy, online safety, and AI readiness, taught to the people who need it most.
AAHE designs and delivers digital literacy, cybersecurity awareness, and AI readiness programming for adults, youth, and working professionals, from first device confidence through to responsible use of generative AI at work.
What AAHE delivers
Scope
Adult digital literacy
Instruction built for adults who arrive with a wide range of starting skill levels and immediate practical goals such as employment applications, access to public services, and household needs. This is a distinct competency from classroom technology training and from youth instruction.
Youth digital literacy
Instruction built for a real classroom of young people, covering the fundamentals alongside how they conduct themselves online.
Cybersecurity awareness
Recognizing threats, protecting accounts and devices, and understanding what an attacker is actually trying to obtain. Delivered as awareness for a general audience, not as technical security training.
Online safety
Recognizing unsafe situations, understanding risk, and knowing what to do about it.
Digital citizenship
Behaving responsibly toward others in digital spaces, and understanding the permanence and reach of what is posted.
Fraud and phishing awareness
The specific scams that target the populations these programs serve, and the habits that defeat them.
Antibullying
Integrated into youth instruction rather than delivered as a separate assembly, which is the approach that holds up when the material has to be taught rather than announced.
Protection of personal information
What personal information is, why it matters, and how it is protected in practice.
AI fundamentals
What these systems are, what they do, and what they do not do, taught without hype and without doom.
Responsible AI
Accuracy, bias, privacy, disclosure, and judgment about when a tool is and is not appropriate to use.
Generative AI for workplace productivity
Practical use of generative AI in real work tasks, with the verification habits that keep the output defensible.
AI assisted career development
Using these tools in job search, application, and career navigation, including their limits.
Technology enabled entrepreneurship
Using digital tools to start and run a business. Connects to Entrepreneurship and Small Business Technical Assistance.
How it is delivered
Delivery formats
- Community based delivery, placing instruction where residents already are rather than requiring them to travel to a central training site, which is the model municipal digital inclusion programs generally require in order to reach the residents who most need them
- A multi-session series across a defined cohort
- Programming inside an existing youth, workforce, or community program
- Workplace sessions for staff on cybersecurity awareness and AI readiness
- Curriculum development and train the trainer
