Past performance
Orlando MBDA through 3D Strategic Management, Business Development Consulting and Technical Assistance
Consulting and technical assistance for minority owned businesses, including established firms seeking growth and scale.
Scope of work performed
AAHE provided business development consulting and technical assistance to minority owned businesses through the Orlando MBDA ecosystem, working with 3D Strategic Management.
The client base was not limited to early stage ventures. The engagement served established firms pursuing growth and scale, which changes the nature of the work substantially. Advising an operating company on capital access, contracting, and growth strategy requires working with real financial statements, real capacity constraints, and real competitive positioning.
The scope covered:
- Financial readiness. Preparing firms to present themselves credibly to lenders, investors, and contracting agencies.
- Access to capital. Positioning firms for capital, including the documentation and preparation that process demands.
- Contracting opportunities. Identifying and preparing firms to pursue government and corporate contracting.
- Growth strategy. Strategy work for firms moving beyond their current operating scale.
- Technical assistance. Direct, hands on assistance against each firm’s specific constraint.
- Business development. Building the pipeline and capability to win new business.
- Capacity building. Strengthening the internal capability required to deliver on growth once it is won.
AAHE delivered this work inside an established business development program structure rather than as an independent consultant to each firm, which meant working to the program’s expectations for client intake, service delivery, and reporting.
Outcome
Minority owned businesses across the Orlando MBDA ecosystem received consulting and technical assistance across financial readiness, capital access, contracting, growth strategy, business development, and capacity building, delivered by AAHE through 3D Strategic Management.
For an evaluator, this engagement matters in three ways.
It demonstrates delivery inside a federally affiliated program structure. MBDA programming operates to defined service and reporting expectations, and AAHE performed within that framework rather than on its own terms.
It demonstrates subcontracted and partnered delivery. AAHE performed through 3D Strategic Management within the broader MBDA ecosystem, which is the same structural relationship a prime contractor is evaluating when it considers AAHE as a subcontractor: can this firm take a defined scope inside someone else’s program and deliver it to that program’s standard? The answer here is documented.
It demonstrates consulting depth, not only training delivery. Capital access preparation, contracting readiness, and growth strategy for operating companies is management consulting work. This entry is the primary substantiation for AAHE’s Management Consulting and Organizational Development capability.
This engagement is also where AAHE’s secondary Entrepreneurship and Small Business Technical Assistance capability belongs in a procurement conversation. It is positioned as funded technical assistance delivered inside a public sector or economic development program, which is how agencies actually buy it, rather than as retail small business coaching.
The engagement is directly relevant to requirements for small business and supplier development technical assistance, minority and disadvantaged business enterprise support programs, capital readiness and access to capital programming, contractor readiness and procurement technical assistance, entrepreneurship program delivery, and economic development capacity building contracts.
